Numana Sea
Charming town
Numana
Located within the Conero Park, Numana is divided into an Upper part, on the slope of the hill, and a Lower part, along the port and the beach. The coast has achieved the coveted Blue Flag recognition for the cleanliness and liveability of its beaches. It has a dual conformation: to the north of the small port it has a cliff coast, with beaches hidden between inlets; to the south, up to Marcelli, a wide beach of fine gravel, more easily accessible. From the gardens it is possible to enjoy a remarkable panorama of the entire coast, as well as from the terrace of the tower. Behind the city, cultivated fields and Mediterranean scrub open up. Mount Conero in the background provides a suggestive backdrop to the diversity.
Places to visit
Starting from the south, we find the pebble beach of Marcelli, also known as Numana Bassa: large, comfortable and ideal for families. Numerous beach resorts follow one another along the coast up to the port.
Beyond the port opens the Spiaggiola di Numana Alta, a small and equipped cove, where the sea, protected by the rocks, is always calm. A perfect place for snorkeling and for those seeking tranquility.
Continuing north, we come across the Sottosanta beach, today also called the Spiaggia dei Frati: private, suggestive and well-equipped, it is another ideal corner for diving into the clear waters and discovering the seabed.
The municipality also provides a convenient free shuttle service, to reach the beaches and the historic center without worries.
Transparent waters, breathtaking views and an atmosphere that remains in the heart.
